Creative Direction

  • Light: When possible, indoor & outdoor light should be a character in the shot. Look for opportunities to highlight what is naturally already there. Flash or other artificial lighting should only be used as a last resort.  
  • Action: Action should be guided but spontaneous. It should not look staged.

Focus: When possible, the subject should be shot with a shallow depth of field to create a simple point of focus. Let the background and periphery fall off.
