Brand Review

To ensure that all UMD units are presenting consistent logos, colors, typefaces, and boilerplate information, it is important to follow our brand standards. We all benefit from a strong and consistent brand.

The University requires units that use Champ or have communication that is seen by an external audience (including incoming and prospective students)  to submit the project to UMPR for brand review via email at [email protected].

Steps for the approval process

  1. Email your project (poster, video, website, brochure, etc.) to [email protected].
  2. Include any relevant URLs or file attachments.
  3. We’ll review it and reply within three to five business days. We will provide you with suggestions to help with compliance and brand standards alignment.

Brand review doesn’t need to be completed on the final piece; we will review pieces in draft form. Please note the status of the draft in your email.

Things we are looking for

We review the document(s) for general compliance with required boilerplates as well as adherence to the brand style guide. Things we look for are: appropriate use of UMD logos, use of University colors (maroon & gold), and use of University approved typefaces.
